Our founder, Reina Parekh, is an artist, book-lover, baking enthusiast and cake decorator who has always been expressing her love for design through various canvases. One night, while out to dinner with her husband, the topic of discussion was, ‘what most inspires you?’ Without hesitation, Reina’s answer was, ‘I want to make kid’s pajamas.’ This was the art form she felt brought her roles as a mom and artist together in a way that could be shared with other families around the world. Having been raised in Los Angeles, and now living in Tokyo with Japanese, American and Indian cultures intertwined - her sense of taste is a reflection of her home. In our fast-paced, over-stimulated world, she feels the magic lies in everyday routines (wake-ups, storytimes, morning cuddles), and she wanted to celebrate those moments with carefully crafted sleep and playwear for little ones.
